General Summary Dell Technologies Infrastructure and Engineering Operations organization looks for the skillful individual to take the software development position in Infrastructure Orchestration Platform core project team. We are developing a corporate-wide cloud solution used by the engineering groups across the whole Dell and we look for the skilled build ad release engineer to help us with establishing a reliable, non-disruptive release model, maintaining relations with operations center and potentially contributing into service development. From candidates we expect hands-on experience with such systems as Jenkins, Maven, containers and virtualization technologies, ability to work both independently and within the team, keen technology-savvy mind and the will to make a world a better place. We are a distributed team so the candidate should be ready to communicate in English regularly, both in speech and in writing. What you’ll achieve Participate in analyzing and clarifying build, release and quality requirements, involve and influence application design discussions from the angle of build and release criteria. Plan and execute release deployments. Contribute into documentation for the operations team and share the knowledge with peers. Monitor and maintain consistence of development, testing and production environments. Essential Requirements:
Creating and maintaining complex CI/CD and/or test automation pipelines, preferred with Java/Spring/JavaScript technology stack into containerized virtual environments hands-on skills with Git, Jenkins (scripted), JIRA Expertise with containers and Kubernetes Understanding multicomponent distributed application issues: functional and data dependencies and principles to keep data consistency Advanced knowledge of the software development cycle.
Desirable Requirements:
Experience developing multi-layered and microservices applications is a strong plus Experience working with VMWare virtualization stack is a plus
